Marianna Palka

Marianna Palka is a Scottish screenwriter, director, actor, photographer and model. She is the costar of the film Good Dick. She is the subject of the short documentary The Lions Mouth Opens.

Palka was born and brought up in Glasgow and moved to New York City at ageto study at the Atlantic Theater Company. She wrote, directed and starred alongside longtime boyfriend at the time, Jason Ritter , Martin Starr, Mark Webber, Charles Durning and Tom Arnold in Good Dick. It was self released in the US in 2009. At the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, Palka was a Sloan Juror with the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. Later that year she performed in Love Loss and What I Wore at The Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles.
